Meet Haley
Hi, I’m Haley (she/her). I work primarily with college students and young adults navigating anxiety, OCD, disordered eating, and relationship or family stress, especially during periods of transition.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and high-functioning on the outside, but internally feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, or control. They’re often trying to balance independence, expectations, relationships, and figuring out who they are, while feeling pressure to “hold it all together.”
I also do a significant amount of family therapy, particularly when anxiety, control, or eating concerns are impacting the family system. This includes working with families of adolescents as well as family work involving adult children, parent coaching, and support around boundaries, autonomy, and changing family roles.
My approach is attachment-based and relational. Therapy with me is active and collaborative, not passive. I bring warmth, honesty, and humor into the room, and I care deeply about helping clients feel safe enough to be real. Together, we look at how anxiety, avoidance, or control show up in relationships, and we work toward building more secure, flexible ways of relating to yourself and others.
Clinically, my work is trauma-informed and integrative. I draw from attachment theory, EMDR, family systems, ERP-informed approaches for anxiety and OCD, and parts-based work to support deeper understanding and meaningful change. I have several years of experience specializing in eating disorders and disordered eating, particularly when medical, psychiatric, or family involvement is present, and I work closely with dietitians, physicians, and psychiatrists when coordination of care is needed. I also support clients transitioning into or out of higher levels of care.
Before entering private practice, I supported foster youth, adoptive parents, cancer patients, caregivers, and refugee communities, experiences that continue to shape my trauma-informed, resilience-focused approach.
I am licensed in Texas and Utah.
What to Expect in Session
In the Austin office, a trained therapy dog may be present in sessions. For some clients, this can offer a grounding and calming presence. Participation is always optional and discussed ahead of time, and sessions without the dog are always available.
